Gold’s support level at $1,127-$1,131 remains "unchallenged," Jordan Kotick and other analysts at Barclays wrote in a report Nov. 27. "Rather than a deeper pullback, ideally we expect a $1,130-$1,200 range to develop over the next week or two."

The so-called Aussie also formed a “bullish outside day,” on Feb. 9, Citigroup said. That’s a pattern that occurs when a currency dips below the intra-day low of the previous day and then rises above the previous high, signaling a possible rally. Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- If many of us could have turned around the moment we entered 2010 and made obscene gestures at 2009, we would have.

After the wreckage of the past 12 months, 2010 has to be a good year, right? Good for governments staving off financial chaos, good for households struggling to stay afloat, good for investors wondering which rules of economics and markets still apply. It really is hard to see this year outdoing the last one in the doom-and-gloom ...

By Sapna Maheshwari

Sept. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Inflation caused by the Federal Reserve’s efforts to prop up the U.S. economy will cause stocks to outperform cash and bond investments, Marc Faber said.

Money pumped into the economy by central bankers will push the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index as high as 1,250 in a year, Faber, the publisher of the Gloom, Boom & Doom report, said yesterday in an interview with Bloomberg Television. The U.S. government and the Fed have spent, lent or ...

Sept. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Credit growth will resume in the U.S. driven by companies funding buyouts, while the eventual collapse of the U.S. dollar will result in government capital restrictions, according to CLSA Ltd.’s Russell Napier.

“The surprise for America is that there is going to be a credit cycle in America, banks are going to start lending money,” leading to a continued rally in U.S. equities, Napier told reporters at the brokerage’s annual investor ...
