Unfortunately, we all have to pay our dues to the markets, that's the only way to master the game...
I would probably have done the same on the AUD: trade on the short side and get caught as well. Technically Break of the 200-SMA and strong bearish candle+ surprise decision putting pressure on the AUD is a strong signal to me. But a signal can't work all the time, the thing is it had a higher probability to work, in the long run you'll be better off using it.
