Hi, first Welcome. The main question to raise when comes the question of bots, is the reason why someone who has found a money-making machine would be crazy enough to share it? Algorithm trading might work, some robots might be profitable (I guess), but those would definitely be kept hidden and secret as the algorithms end to be profitable at the very moment they are known to the crowd. The best example was the Turtle traders group in the 80s that used trend following algorithms, they were very profitable but one of the key of their success was the absolute secret around their techniques. Now as you mentioned Technical Analysis may seem hard, generally Trading is probably the most difficult stuff I know, but I'm afraid that making money can't be easy. If you want to succeed in the game, I can't see any shortcut, you have to pay your dues and spend time and money on the markets, a lot of them actually.
