Research: Eurozone Peripheral Economies are Still Contracting

Quotes from HSBC Global Research:
-The highly-indebted governments in euroarea now need to demonstrate that it is politically feasible to deliver the austerity that will be asked of them, and that the private sector will continue to grow so that attempts at austerity don't prove counterproductive. This is where the PMIs don't provide much comfort. The pace of contraction in activity is stabilising, but the peripheral economies are still contracting, and the pace of job shedding in increasing.
